Hi! I’m Emily.

I am a wife, mother, sister, aunt, daughter, and friend. I am also a photographer, and I believe:

- in the dignity of every person
- that children can teach us
- that we are all connected
- that there is something new to learn every day

how i got started:

Photography came to me as a teen. The play of light from a window’s blinds, the bright ripple pattern on the floor of the pool, or the sun peeking through the clouds to form a patch of light on the hills--these visuals inspired me--the light always moves, and so do we. I am primarily a natural-light photographer due to this type of imagery that captured my heart. Growing up with a large family, I also tended toward documenting for my relatives at holidays or the regular Sunday dinner when the sun shone through the kitchen at the end of the day. Photographs became a source of detailed remembrance for these small and large moments that I didn’t want to be forgotten. It came more naturally than writing or storytelling, so it stuck, and I’m so so grateful to have it as a form of expression.

my philosophy:

To all the personality test lovers--I am an enneagram 9, an ISFJ, phlegmatic, and quality time is my love language. I aim to bring comfort, simplicity and groundedness to any situation. This means meeting you where you are and allowing you to be your most authentic self. Care, honesty and kindness to my clients and all humans is of utmost importance to me. I tend to be on the quieter side, but I am open to and encourage any and all questions. I want to give you photos that capture you and each of your loved ones in their uniqueness and beauty. My attention to detail captures the smallest (and simultaneously, the biggest) moments--a fleeting touch, a tear shed, an eyebrow raise, a tight embrace. I believe in love--the love that is not only the joys and delights, but the love of sacrifice, apologizing, and true acceptance of the whole person.

"Joy comes to us in ordinary moments. We risk missing out when we get too busy chasing the extraordinary."
